Empress has a keen eye and is very aware of "air space" being invaded by vultures, etc. She gets along well with the barn cats, goats, horses and visitors to the farm. She is not demanding of attention, but if people invite her over she loves to get petted and enjoys making new friends in a calm, quiet manner.

Although she loves attention from anyone, Empress is very much "my dog" and loves to very carefully curl up in my lap, and then twist upside down with her head lolling over my arm, and grin up at me like that while I hug and squeeze her.

(A trick she picked up as a pup, and never wanted to grow out of! But it's really quite sweet when she does it now, even though she weighs a whole lot more! ;-) )
